We welcome individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.  While scientific expertise is highly valued, there are also opportunities to contribute to the protection of Seychelles’ World Heritage Sites and Fond Ferdinand in areas such as accounting, logistics, sales, security, and fieldwork. Whatever your skills, SIF provides meaningful and challenging employment in some of the world’s most exceptional environments.

In addition to full-time employment, volunteers play an important role in supporting SIF’s conservation and outreach work. Opportunities are limited and highly competitive, with requirements varying depending on project needs. Typically, candidates with a strong background in science, technical work, or education and outreach are sought. Volunteers are expected to be committed, adaptable, and able to thrive in outdoor settings, including remote environments. Placements require a minimum commitment of six months full-time, unpaid, with volunteers covering their own expenses except accommodation, which is provided by SIF.
